Halloween may be just over a week away but the holiday actually gets an early start in Park Slope every year at the annual Haunted Halloween Carnival by Puppetry Arts.


This Saturday, October 25th (11 -3) enjoy costume activities and snacks, a bounce house, Star Wars characters, a costume contest and more. This is an indoor event at the 1st Street Recreation Center at PS 372 so it's rain or shine. See you there!

It's hard to believe, but we are just over a week away from Halloween and, of course, the annual Park Slope Halloween Parade.


As usual, the parade kicks off from 14th Street and 7th Avenue at 6:30 PM (line-up starts at 5:30, if you want to join in). The parade will make a left turn down 3rd Street and end on Fifth Avenue at the Old Stone House and Washington Park.

Hey Park Slope: yesterday (October 20th) marked the start of the fall edition of Dine in Brooklyn! More than 150 restaurants throughout the borough will be participating, including the following Fifth Avenue hot spots:
