In early 2009, the Park Slope Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District launched a blog at AllAboutFifth.Blogspot.com. You can read the latest news from our blog here, or check out the site, directly!
Although Fifth Avenue is considered to be a hub of Park Slope, it is also located just a couple of blocks away from the polluted (but improving) Gowanus Canal.
Tomorrow night you have an opportunity to do something good for our neighboring water body in-need. The Gowanus Canal Conservancy will be raising money for its environmental programs through an event called "Dive in Gowanus." Participating restaurants will be donating part of their Friday Night proceeds to the Conservancy.
It's that time of year again, when our thoughts turn to Park Slope's historical past and, more specifically, to the important role that Washington Park and The Old Stone House played in the formation of our great country.
